Read Across America 2019 is approaching!   Here is our tentative agenda for the week of March 4th- 8th.  More details and/or changes are coming.  
Monday:  The Cat in the Hat (hat day)
Tuesday:  Fox in Socks (favorite sock day)

Don't forget that we now have full access to our teacher portal.  The county officially rolled it out a few weeks ago.   As soon as you log into your computer, find the portal icon, sign in, and you should have full access to everything without having to sign into each program separately.  This applies to students too!

Black History Month Contest & Activities

Please take a minute or two to go over the black history month contest handout with your students.  One was placed in your boxes last week.  We will place a corrected one in your boxes this week.  Below is a copy of the handout that you can pull up on the screen and show your students.

Six Flags Read to Succeed 

After you register as a teacher, please watch this video to see how to input the reading logs that your students will submit to you.  THIS IS IMPORTANT!  If you leave a child off, and they don't get their ticket their parents are not going to be happy. 

All reading logs should be collected by February 26th.  If you need more, let me know.   All information has to be entered online by March 1st.  These details along with other important guidelines can be found in your teacher toolkit once you register and/or log in.

Ilearn is the only program that we have to add the students in ourselves.  Thanks!

Thank you all for your support during this book fair.   We surpassed our goal.  Our goal was to increase sales by 5% from last year.  I can't wait to purchase new books and technology for our students.

Our Book Fair continues this week.  It ends Friday, 2/8/2019 at 12:00 p.m. 

Tuesday, 8:15 a.m. -2:00 p.m. we will welcome loved ones of K-2 students for dessert and shop.  The same applies for grades 3-5 on Wednesday.   

Friday, Starbucks will provide free coffee to adults who come and shop with us.  This  begins at 7:15 a.m. and will end at 8:30.  

Teachers don't forget to come and fill your wish list bins.  I will be promoting your wish list on Dojo.  

Just come in, look for the bin with your name, and fill it with your wish list items.   

⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ TThere will be no story time, makerspace, whole group checkout, or lunch bunch this week.  You may still send two students at a time for check out/in.
