Here is this week's check out form.   On Monday, I will be administering the Dibbles test to kindergarten.  I will not be available for story time.   On Tuesday, I will be attending the county wide media specialist meeting.  Therefore, I will not be available for story time on this day as well.    

If you sign up for makerspace, please indicate the standard and/or topic that you would like me to cover in the same box with your name.  Try to sign up two days in advance for makerspace.  Thanks!

  • I am in the process of creating a teacher library.  It will be done just in time for our next break.  We can read the books and hold a book club meeting off site on Friday evenings.  whoo hoo! 
  • BOTH computer carts are now housed in Mrs. Hall's office.   The check out process is the same. 
  • We have 16 laptops from one cart that are in need of repair.  Teachers, please avoid having students charge laptops.  
  • 4th grade lunch bunch meets on Wednesdays during lunch.  
  • 5th grade lunch bunch meets on Thursdays during lunch.

Here is this week's check out form.   This week, our PTA  will be hosting a holiday gift shop here in the media center.  The gift shop will be open to students and staff 10:30-1:00.  PLEASE send no more than 2-3 students at one time for checkout during these hours.   The gift shop will end on the 30th.  For more details regarding the gift shop, contact one of our PTA members.

Here is this week's check out form.   Monday morning the media center will be closed while we host a light breakfast for our Veterans.  Tuesday, the media center will be closed to whole group check-outs and story time.   I will be conducting the internet safety lessons to each grade level.  Here's the schedule.  Try to arrive on time. 

By Monday, late notices will be placed in your boxes.  Please make sure that they are distributed, and the students are given an opportunity to return/renew the late items.   

Google Tip of the Week:  Here are more ways to effectively use Google Classroom in your classroom. 

1.    Administer digital exit slips.

2.   Instead of homework, assign voluntary “lesson extensions” for students. When questions arise about mastery or grades, refer to who accessed and completed what, when.

3.    Create folders of miscellaneous lesson materials. Digital versions of texts, etc.

4.   Enjoy smarter conferencing with students and parents with easy-to-access work, data, writing, feedback, access data, and so on.

Google Tip of the Week:  Here are five ways to effectively use Google Classroom in your classroom.

2.  Design more mobile learning experiences for your students. 

3.  Have students chat their own growth over time using Google Sheets.
